May 26 Islay's Best Beaches: Scotland

Islay’s got some pretty stunning beaches as the below pictures testify from my recent trip back in April.

All this lovely Summer weather’s got me dreaming about trips to the coast- luckily it’s not too long till I’m back up in Scotland in July to soak up some more sand and sea..

But for now I’m enjoying reminiscing beach days on this stunning little island.

Foxglove flurry. I stumbled upon this little area of coppiced wood and foxgloves were sprouting up everywhere- one of my favorite flowers and much loved by the bees too. They seem to pop up anywhere and everywhere.

I'm not too sure what this plant is- any plant enthusiasts know? But the bees absolutely love it- it's covered in them all day long.
