Harris Hues

This little island is a truly special place. It has the most beautiful landscapes including pristine, white beaches,translucent-blue waters, tumbling waterfalls and flower meadows, called 'machair' which carpet the island in a haze of pinks, yellows, greens and blues. There aren't many places which combine flower meadows and beaches in one spot, yet Harris does this effortlessly and in abundance.Yet the culture and heritage of Harris equally match its natural beauty. The island is famous in the world of textiles and fashion for its much sought after, locally produced Harris tweed. The fabric is dyed and handwoven by producers on the island and comes in an array of patterns and colours. The fabric reflects the vibrancy of the landscape in which it is born from.I just adore this place, because come rain or shine Harris will always surprise you.
